- Dog makes a clear alert, a clear change in body, before the handler rewards.
- No directing, other than “search” cue/prompt.
- Since you know where the item is, do not interfere or lead your dog to it.
- Video must show the dog actively searching on its own, without aid
- Dog must no see where hide is placed.
- Play in safe environments, use a long line leash when necessary
- No pinch collars or e-collars.
- One false alert allowed per run.
- You may submit same title, with a new location as many times as you would like.
- Meaning same title, but in the living room and in the kitchen, would count as two.
- Or two different urban locations, etc.
- Videos can be submitted via the FB group or emailed link
- *Space/Size of search area is up to the handler at time of launch, subject to change.
Hides:
You may choose any type of hide object,
from tree scents (pine, birch), toys, gloves, keys, food.
Environment/Location Options are:
Indoors; Any room of your home or training facility and Outdoors; Urban or Nature.
You may repeat any title in a new location, earning points.
There are three height levels, Ground level, Eye level and above the dogs eye level, Raised.
Types of Searches include:
Standard - Standard search is a search of item placed in the space.
Containers - Containers is a search thru multiple containers of your choice ( they should all be similar), placed out on an open space with no distractions.
Multiple Same - is a search looking for the item with handler scent, thru a number of items that are the same, examples would be gloves, dumbbells etc.
Solo Search - Solo search is like standard, a search for a placed item, expect the Handler remains stationary, this is to be done in a safe enclosed area, off leash.
